* The Jefferson County Chapter of PASR lost a leader and a best friend when Dr. Sidney B. Willar passed away in early February. Formally superintendent of the Punxsutawney Area School District from 1974 to 1990, upon his retirement he devoted many years to county school retirees by actively serving as president and as chair of many committees. At the time of his death, Dr. Willar was immediate past president.
