This seminar will include discussion on updating your Chapter By-Laws,
plus discussion on any State By-Laws recommended for adoption
COMMUNITY SERVICE SEMINAR
“PASR FINANCES—WHAT YOU $HOULD
KNOW!” – FINANCE SEMINAR
This seminar will be devoted to answering members' questions concerning
the proposed 2008/2009 General Fund Budget and explaining the processes
used by the PASR Board of Directors for establishing the budget, determining
dues amounts, and monitoring the Life Membership Reserve Fund.
“LEGISLATIVE UPDATE” – LEGISLATIVE
SEMINAR
Participants will receive an update on the status of the Promotional
Items on PASR’s 2008/2009 Legislative Agenda. Questions are welcome.

“BEST PRACTICES—THINGS THAT MAKE
MEMBERSHIP GROW" – MEMBERSHIP
After a brief review of the Chapter Goals and Objectives for 2008-2009,
three region chairs from the State Membership committee will offer examples
and provide recommendations from chapters having success with getting
specific information about new retirees and will give relevant suggestions
for recruitment -- both gaining and retaining members.

“YOU CAN DO IT: We Can Help” –
SSMHF SEMINAR
During this seminar we will provide an overview of the SSMHF services;
special memberships, chapter allotments, and financial assistance, along
with forms and instructions for accessing these services. Successful
chapter activities in the SSMHF area will be shared along with examples
used. A period for comments and questions will allow participants to
contribute ideas and thoughts and to clarify any area of uncertainty
within their chapters.
PUBLIC RELATIONS SEMINAR
RESOLUTIONS COMMITTEE (1st SESSION
ONLY- Monday, 10/6/08 at 9:45 a.m.)
Presentation and review of the 2008 Resolutions Report. This is an opportunity
to have questions answered and discuss each of the proposed resolutions.
The report will be presented to the House of Delegates for adoption
at the 3rd Plenary Session on Tuesday.
